This is an exhibition catalog, that contains photos and information of an exhibit that was once available to view. In this exhibition catalog, The Photographer and the American Landscape, it is a single page layout with the photo and a caption. The only time it changes the layout is when you get to the back of the book besides the introduction in the beginning. There is an index of the photographers included in the book and a short bio about them as well as a photo on top. It has the same Serif typeface through out, only varying in the size. The type in this catalog pairs well with the concept as it is landscape photography from a historical standpoint. Serif fonts generally carry the feeling of history and the past. The book is also Landscape which follows the concept of landscape photography. I think that this book will help me think about different ways to carry the concept through along with the layouts I create. I hope that by making the book contain interactivity it will create a more personal and connected experience for an individual after the exhibit is no longer able to be viewed.
